Come Camp with Us and Watch the Solar Eclipse!

April 7–8, 2024

Since rooms and campsites for the eclipse are hard to come by, we’re converting our parking lot into an RV campground–for free.

You can request a reservation to camp through the form below for Sunday, April 7 and Monday April 8 (the nights before and after the eclipse). During the eclipse, we’ll all watch it together in the field across the street from the parking lot. We’ll provide some water and two porta-potties, since we expect some of our neighbors will walk down to watch it with us. Bring your favorite lawn chair.

The campground will be hosted by an off-duty National Park Ranger who will also give a few talks about the unique things that happen during an eclipse.

A few campground rules and notes:

  • We don’t have any hookups, and can’t let anyone inside the church building.

  • No tent camping.

  • No campfires.

  • Quiet time is 9:00 p.m.

  • No alcohol.

  • Pets are allowed, but you are responsible for their actions. We do reserve the right to ask guests to leave over the conduct of their animals.

  • Keep it fun, and conflict-free.

  • Sorry, there is no dump station on site.

  • All guests will be asked to sign a standard liability release on arrival.

Check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time Sunday and check-out is by 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Request a reservation here, and we’ll reach out to confirm whether we have space.

On this form we’ll ask the details of your RV and car. We’ll compare that to the map we’ve made and reach out to let you know if we have a site that can accommodate you.

We’re happy to offer this for free. If you want to make a donation, you can do so anonymously here.
