Call to Worship – Psalm 105:4-11

4 Buscad a Jehová y su poder;
buscad siempre su rostro.
5 Acordaos de las maravillas que él ha hecho,
de sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,
6 Oh vosotros, descendencia de Abraham su siervo,
hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.
7 Él es Jehová nuestro Dios;

Leader prays:

Blessed Father,
            we humbly bow before you, aware of our sin and guilt.
            Forgive us for not seeking first your kingdom,
                        For searching for meaning and pleasure in earthly things,
                        For allowing sin to reign in our bodies.
            Make us more like your Son, Jesus Christ,
                        By putting off the old self and on the new,
                        By laying our lives down in love for others,
                        By being holy as you are holy.
            Fill us with your Spirit as we worship you together,
            Amen.

Scripture Reading – Hebrews 4:14-16

14 Por tanto, teniendo un gran sumo sacerdote que traspasó los cielos, Jesús el Hijo de Dios, retengamos nuestra profesión. 15 Porque no tenemos un sumo sacerdote que no pueda compadecerse de nuestras debilidades, sino uno que fue tentado en todo según nuestra semejanza, pero sin pecado. 16 Acerquémonos, pues, confiadamente al trono de la gracia, para alcanzar misericordia y hallar gracia para el oportuno socorro.

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
